"Brittany!"

Brittany pulled her earphones out and stopped her feet. Her head turned to her bedroom door as she wiped the sweat from her forehead.

"Yeah?"

"Santana's here!"

A big grin grew on the blonde's face and she ran out the door, down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs she stood, Santana Lopez. She made Brittany's heart beat faster. Santana stood there with her arms crossed over her chest and a shy smile on her face. The reason for that smile was Brittany's father, who was eyeing the Latina from the doorway. But Brittany didn't care how much her father disliked Santana. She loved her and that was all that mattered.

"Santana!" she called out happily. Santana head shot up at the sound of Brittany's usually soft voice and her beautiful face broke open into a beautiful smile. Brittany nearly jumped off the stairs, right into the Latina's arms.

"Hey!" the blonde greeted. She hugged her friend close, who hugged back gratefully. Brittany smelt Santana's scent. She smelt like roses with a hint of vanilla. Brittany loved that smell. It felt familiar. Even the faintest hint of the scent would always get the tall blonde lost in her memories, her memories with Santana.

"Hey.." Santana greeted more softly. Brittany felt the brunette's heart beat against her own chest. It made her smile. From the corner of the room, Mr. Pierce cleared his throat as if to tell the girls to step back. Slowly the two pulled apart. Santana's eyes darkened a little as she lost contact. Brittany gave her a reassuring smile.

"Daddy, Santana and I are going to my room, 'kay?" Brittany asked her father. Her father, Simon Pierce, sighed but nodded. He faked a smile and gave Santana a warning look before saying

"Be good, girls."
